Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is the removal of staining from the enamel and dentine of your teeth. It is an easy, safe and effective way to brighten up your smile and the most utilised aesthetic treatment we provide.

It is vitality important that we achieve the results that we want and our patients deserve. Therefore we only use safe, approved products which have been tried and tested to deliver great results safely. We will guide you through the process and follow you up after completion.

The treatment takes around 3 visits.

Firstly we take a record of the current shade (colour) of your teeth and take a quick photograph.

From a series of impressions, custom made whitening trays are fabricated in the laboratory and are bespoke to your mouth and teeth. We use a laboratory which only make whitening trays so they are perfect every time. When the custom made trays are back we show you how to apply a small amount of the whitening agent and how to wear the discrete whitening trays. We provide you with all the instructions you need and are on hand if you have any concerns during the procedure.

Then we arrange a follow up in a couple of weeks to assess how you are getting on and also take another check on the shade you have achieved so far. Most patients can expect to increase the lightness of their teeth by around 6-8 shades. We aim, where possible, to achieve a shade of B1 or lighter. B1 is the lightest shade on the VITA shade guide.
