Dr David C. Baker

David qualified from Liverpool University with Honours in 2004 and during his time at dental school he won several prizes; the Shivastarva Elective prize and the Malcolm Foster Medal and was also awarded the General Dental Council Prize for Professionalism in 2004. During his time at University David spent a period of study in California observing and learning from some of the best known Endodontists (Root canal Dentists) in the world. This time was pivotal in moulding the direction his career would go.
On qualifying David completed General Professional Training having worked in an NHS practice in Liverpool followed by a Senior House Officers role in Dental Surgery at Liverpool Dental Hospital. During Vocational Training David was awarded the prize of the Merseyside scheme Vocational Trainee of the year.
On completing his hospital post David worked in St Helens and after more exams was awarded Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also took on a part time teaching role at UCLAN Dental School. Still with a thirst for knowledge (and a very understanding Wife!) David completed a part time Masters Degree at UCLAN in Endodontics, completing the first two years with Distinction and gaining a Merit overall.
In 2013 David began working in private practice in Culcheth, Warrington, and became busy accepting referrals from local Dentists for Root Canal treatment. He completed the Dentsply 'Train the Trainer' programme with Arnaldo Castelluci in Switzerland to become a certified Endodontic trainer and he was invited to the update programme, also in Switzerland, with Guiseppe Cantatore in 2019. Also in 2013, David was extremely excited to become part of the teaching staff on one of the UK's most popular Endodontic courses for dentists, simplyendo, based in Formby.
In 2014 David was short listed for the FMC Dental awards for the Best Young Dentist in the Northwest.
David is an active Member of the British Endodontic Society, regularly attending conferences in the UK. He is also a regular speaker for courses for the NorthWest Dental Deanery providing Endodontic Education for local dentists and recently presented a new course for Dental Nurses to train to assist Dentists carrying out Endodontic treatment. David is an active member of the Local Dental Committee. He is a member of the British Dental Association and also the British Association of Private Dentistry.
David is happy to accept referrals from local dentists for patients requiring root canal treatment.
David lives in Warrington with Emma and their 2 daughters, Heidi and Daisy. David enjoys music and most sports- including supporting Everton. He likes to cook but struggles to get his little girls to eat anything he makes!
Dr Emma E. Redmond

Emma qualified from Liverpool University 2007 after having completed a BSc in Biomedical Science in Manchester.
During this time at dental school Emma also won several prizes. Like David, Emma also won the Shivastarva Elective prize (3 years after David!) and the Malcolm Foster Medal for a laboratory based project. Emma was awarded the prize for prosthetics- Dentures.
Emma took a Vocational Training position in Ashton in Makerfield and has worked their ever since, providing great family dentistry with a loyal following of patients.
Emma also worked briefly in Warrington Town Centre in a large NHS practice and part time for 3 years with David in a private clinic in Culcheth.
Emma completed a part time Masters Degree in Periodontology (treatment of gums and gum disease) in 2016 at UCLAN.... whilst managing to have a second baby at the same time!
Emma has completed Orthodontic courses in Fast Braces and Invisalign Go. Emma is a certified Invisalign Go provider. Please contact the surgery for more information on Tooth alignment/straightening with Invisalign Go.
All of the Anti-wrinkle treatment at the practice is carried out by Emma. This is something Emma particularly enjoys and has many regular patients who return due to the great results they have received. Emma completed further training in Facial Aesthetics and has all of the appropriate indemnity for this procedure. Only the finest products are used at 183dental.
Emma is happy to accept referrals from local dentists for patients requiring assistance/treatment with problems related to Periodontal Disease.
Emma lives in Warrington with David and their 2 daughters, Heidi and Daisy. Emma enjoys time with the family and holidays when possible.
Dr Stephen Dodd
BDS MJDF RCS (Eng) MSc (Restorative Cosmetic) PGDip (Implantology)
With a wealth of experience treating complex cosmetic and implant cases, Stephen is 183dental’s sole implant dentist.
He learned his craft at The University of Manchester, qualifying in 2007 and completed the Royal College of Surgeons MJDF postgraduate qualification before moving into private practice. He is also a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has been named the North West’s Best Young Dentist twice – taking home the award in 2012 and 2017.
With a Masters degree in Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry from The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), a two-year Diploma in Dental Implantology from the same institution, as well as a host of additional courses and training under his belt, Stephen has the skills and experience required to offer patients a high-quality, professional implant service.
Outside of work, Stephen swaps his dental cloak for running shoes and gets out into the hills with his wife Laura for fell and trail running. He enjoys keeping fit and likes to escape to the Lake District when he can to tick off another mountain range!
