David qualified from Liverpool University with Honours in 2004 and during his time at dental school he won several prizes; the Shivastarva Elective prize and the Malcolm Foster Medal and was also awarded the General Dental Council Prize for Professionalism in 2004. During his time at University David spent a period of study in California observing and learning from some of the best known Endodontists (Root canal Dentists) in the world. This time was pivotal in moulding the direction his career would go.

On qualifying David completed General Professional Training having worked in an NHS practice in Liverpool followed by a Senior House Officers role in Dental Surgery at Liverpool Dental Hospital. During Vocational Training David was awarded the prize of the Merseyside scheme Vocational Trainee of the year.   

On completing his hospital post David worked in St Helens and after more exams was awarded Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also took on a part time teaching role at UCLAN Dental School. Still with a thirst for knowledge (and a very understanding Wife!) David completed a part time Masters Degree at UCLAN in Endodontics, completing the first two years with Distinction and gaining a Merit overall, including a Distinction for his clinical cases.

In 2013 David began working in private practice in Culcheth, Warrington, and became busy accepting referrals from local Dentists for Root Canal treatment. He completed the Dentsply 'Train the Trainer' programme with Arnaldo Castelluci in Switzerland to become a certified Endodontic trainer and he was invited to the update programme, also in Switzerland, with Guiseppe Cantatore in 2019. Also in 2013, David was extremely excited to become part of the teaching staff on one of the UK's most popular Endodontic Masters courses for dentists, simplyendo, based in Formby and he was invited to be become a partner in 2023. 
 

In 2014 David was short listed for the FMC Dental awards for the Best Young Dentist in the Northwest.

David is an active Member of the British Endodontic Society, regularly attending conferences throughout the UK. He is also a regular speaker for courses for Health Education England providing Endodontic Education for dentists nationally and recently presented a new course for Dental Nurses to train to assist Dentists carrying out Endodontic treatment and he has also presented his own work at conferences in Swizterland and Italy.

 

David is an active member of the Local Dental Committee. He is a member of the British Association of Private Dentistry and a former member of the British Dental Association. 

 

David also became an Endodontic trainer for Coltene in 2023 after completing their trainer course in Altstätten in Switzerland with Eugenio Pedulla. 

​

In 2023, David also started teaching the Endodontic module on the Total Aesthetics Course with Monik Vasant at the Freshedental Institute in London. 

​

David is happy to accept referrals from local dentists for patients requiring root canal treatment. Equally, patients can also refer themselves for root canal treatment. 

 

David lives in Warrington with Emma and their 2 daughters, Heidi and Daisy. David enjoys music and most sports- including the torment of watching Everton. David plays the piano and enjoys eating out. 

​

David is at the practice on selected Mondays and Tuesdays, but every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
